Guam - The Chairperson of the Legislative Committee on the Guam Military Buildup sent her comment paper on land issues to a wide range of federal officials, starting with President Barack Obama as well as Joint Guam Program Office Forward Director David Bice.
Senator Judi Guthertz expressed her concerns about plans by the military revealed in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement to obtain considerable more land beyond the present one-third of the island currently owned by the Department of Defense. Guthertz states, "The DEIS must be modified to locate, as the preferred alternative, all of the military's needs on existing federal land."
