Guam - While the Draft Environmental Impact Statement suggests several non-Department of Defense properties be used to accommodate the Marines relocation to Guam, Century 21 Principal Broker Chris Felix predicts that increase in population will allow the value of land on the island to rise significantly.
Felix says the hike in land value for areas that the military wants to use as housing will rise in the next few months, as well he anticipates the areas that will be used as firing ranges to follow soon after. "I personally believe next year we could see 10% or 15% increase in value towards the end of the year, and then a twenty percent increase per year for the three years after that, which are huge. Those are huge numbers, but I think those are actually minimums and conservative numbers," he explained.
Felix also urges those in the community wanting to buy property or a home to do so before the end of 2010.
