Guam - Representatives from the operator of Guam's future private hospital are on-island conducting a survey of local patients' needs. Because of a confidentiality agreement, none of the representatives could speak on-camera, but Guam Healthcare and Hospital Development Foundation Chairperson Peter Sgro would reveal that one of the visiting team leaders is a former Army surgeon general and former commanding officer of Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii.
"Their purpose to be on Guam for the next four days is to determine what is the specialty services that are needed by the people of Guam," said Sgro. "They are doing studies on why are people leaving island for care? How many people are leaving island for care?"
