Troop transition is equally U.S./Japan responsibility

Guam - The visiting Japanese delegation during this afternoon's presentation addressed the Guam Legislature through their interpreter, saying Japan shares and equal responsibility for the plan for the U.S. Marines' relocation.

"So I believe both myself and congresswoman are share the responsibility to bring the voice of Guam to the people to the Japanese Diet, so that's first of all the history and the cultured of Guam will be protected; that the nature of Guam will also be protected and that Guam's economy will continue to develop," the translator said.

The delegation left Guam at 5 this afternoon.
