Guam - Senator Judi Guthertz says it seems more than obvious that President Barack Obama and the First Family will be coming to Guam for more than just to refuel their plane. Guthertz says the U.S. Secret Service has been combing the island off-base for possible places if the commander-in-chief was to stay overnight.
It was just last week, Guthertz and fellow policymaker Rory Respicio sent a letter to the White House requesting that President Obama spend some time speaking with residents outside the gate of Guam's military installations. "We're hopeful that our president and the First Family will visit Guam and meet with our military brothers and sisters, but also meet with our military community. That would be a proper thing to do and it will be very well received," Guthertz told KUAM News.
President Obama will be coming to Guam prior to his trip to India and Australia. The White House said they would release more information at a later time.
