US Deploys 3 B-2 Bomber Aircraft to Indo-Asia Pacific for Training - STRATCOM
The United States has sent three bomber aircraft to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to conduct training sorties, the US Strategic Command announced in a press release on Monday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Strategic Command explained that during a short-term deployment, the bomber aircraft will conduct local and regional training sorties, and will integrate capabilities with the regional partners.
“Three B-2 Spirits deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, to Andersen AFB, Guam, in the US Pacific Command area of operations August 9,” the release said.
STRATCOM routinely conducts bomber missions and deployed B-52 bombers to Europe in May and June, and B-2s to the Indo-Asia Pacific region in March.
